Here is a message from the PRCC Executive President, Natasha Lebedick.
“At this time, PRCC cannot issue refunds or promise credit in the new season. Issuing donation tax receipts was also explored with Curl BC. This avenue turned out to be not an option for our situation. As outlined above, PRCC finances will be re-examined in September 2021. The executive will have a better understanding our financial status and can then look into incentives and ways to give back to our dedicated members and to our community as a whole.
I understand everyone’s frustration and disappointment. This pandemic has created difficult situations for a great many of businesses, community groups and families. The last 1.5 years has been unprecedented for the Prince Rupert Curling Club. First, the shut down of the 2019/20 season to upgrade the ice plant. Directly followed by another shut down in the next season due to Covid-19. This second shut down was completely out of our control and really unexpected. I believe that nobody speculated adult sports would be completely paused. This was evident in the strong return and support of our curling community. On behalf of the executive, I would like to thank each and everyone you for your support of the curling club. The executive will continue to work hard throughout the remainder of the year. Rest assured that we have only the best interests for curling members and our community”
